node-hid calls sometimes hang

A call to HID.devices() or new HID.HID(..) is sometimes extremely slow.

My machine relies on a lot of USB devices here so I may test on a laptop with it being the only usb device.

This would be potentially problematic for streaming computers that also tend to be heavy on USB devices.
