The discussion about libtorrent should happen in #140. Problem with 1.50+ is that it's not available in Debian stable (wheezy) or any Ubuntu before Saucy so that really limits adoption...

I guess it's a problem if people actually want this to get out of alpha one day. Obviously, this is not the right time for me to help with this...

i can't enable the test suite in the debian package because of this as well.

i think this ticket can be closed in favor of #12, about pytest 6 support, which should probably be the target at this stage. (heck, pytest 7 came out too...)

sounds like this is just waiting for a PR, anyone up for it?
