Music playing again after pause

Sometimes after pausing the music and going out of the app or locking the phone the music randomly starts to play again. Sometimes after pausing again it immediately starts to play again several times.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Play Song.
  2. Pause Song.
  3. Lock the phone.
  4. Wait a minute.
  5. Music starts to play again.

Expected behavior Music should stay paused.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: OnePlus 9pro
  • OS: Android 13

Hello @dPandl unfortunately i'm not able to reproduce this issue in my samsung phone.

Anyone else who is viewing this comment and if you are facing this issue please put a comment with device model and android version.

I've been facing this issue a few time but I haven't been able to find a consistent way to reproduce and debug.

Device : Asus Zenfone 9 - Android 13

It seems like the bug is connected with caching songs. If i turn the option off it doesn't happen.

@dPandl could you please try with enabling Ignore battery optimization option from settings?

In the Settings there is no Slider to de-/activate it. But it says status: activated. So I guess I had already done that?

I need to say tho that i don't really use the app anymore so i can't say for certain if the problem does appear anymore. When I was still using it, it was more like a 9/10 times that it happened.
