'Skip Ad' button gets focused but can't be clicked
Issue description
I'm using the IMA extension for playing ad clips. When a skippable ad is played I can see that the Skip Ad button gets focused as expected, but the ad doesn't get skipped when I press the center pad. When I do this, instead of skipping the ad I see that the button loses focus and I also get a "TAPPED" AdEvent, as if I were clicking the ad layout instead of the button.
Note that the Skip Button works as expected in Android TV and this is reproducible in the demo app.
Reproduction steps
Run the demo app and select "IMA sample ad tags" and then "Single skippable inline". The stream will begin and after a few seconds the skip button will get focused. Try to click it by pressing the center button in the remote.
Version of ExoPlayer being used
I used 2.9.0 and also the original (non-amazon) Exoplayer 2.9.3. Both showed the same behavior.
Device(s) and version(s) of Android being used
Tested on a FireTV Stick Basic Edition.
+1 on this issue. This is happening to me as well. Please provide a fix asap! This is impacting the projects i am involved
Hello Victor Raft, thanks to report this issue. I'm having the same trouble and I spent a lot of time trying some fixes and did not work. I want this fix too
Could you clarify the model and make of the Android TV on which the skip button is working?
@rinoshs Do you know if this is something that will possibly be fixed soon? Also, do you know any workarounds I can do to get this working in my app? Sorry to bother, but this is rather urgent for my company.
