make it easier to whitelist everyone *except* some set of email addresses

But how do we do this? Maybe there should be a whitelist (goes through), mod-list (gets modded), and blacklist (gets rejected). And you can put "everyone" for exactly one of them and then the others are exceptions?

I was also thinking that flow could work by just creating a setting that decides what happens to blacklisted messages, either:

  • Automatically reject messages from blacklisted senders
  • Hold messages from blacklisted senders for review

So then owners could just put no one on their whitelist, and put whoever needs moderation on their blacklist. But I guess then that wouldn't allow them to have any auto-rejected senders... So I think your proposal makes more sense

Going to label this as priority, since we have some potential beta testers who would need this functionality (just get a single person moderated).
