Do you have any suggestions for what should be available? Just a list of commands, or something more in depth?

Ideally, sending help would return a list table akin to what ZNC's built-in modules provide. Sending help <command> or command with incorrect arguments would show a usage message.

i am +1 for this. i have been looking for the name of the option that will stop zncpush from replying "Ok" when you send messages through it. pretty sure i've seen it before but can't find it now for the life of me. anyone know what its called if i didn't dream it up?
