Productivity: explain IDEs

I think the second paragraph was written with the assumption people know what IDEs are.  I personally didn’t.  A quick sentence explaining what the Eclipse IDE does would be beneficial, similar to how Mylyn was explained briefly.  I didn’t know what navigation aids for going through source files really meant and therefore had a hard time understanding its benefit.  I had not heard of Mylyn either but that was not as problematic since it was easily explained in the paragraph. I am not 100% sure about who the target audience is of this chapter, but since it has been quite awhile since I learned about these, it might be helpful if this chapter talked more about what IDE's and API's are. I should have probably known these terms already, but I definitely had to do some internet browsing to refresh myself on them. In the chapter it says the benefits of IDE's, but it does not actually describe what it is. So that might be helpful to bring up, especially if a beginner developer is reading the chapter.
