Verification: explain automated testing

This chapter explains verification terminology and different types of testing well. One thing I would have liked to know more about is how we can automate testing. It is mentioned briefly that there is an advantage of doing this over manual tests, but no specific methods of doing so are explained. Moreover, automated techniques are mentioned to include automated testing and program analysis but there is not much information on it besides the definition of what they are so I wish there were more examples.
