Process: Elaborate on spiral model

I want more clear explanation about the spiral software development model. I wasn't able to fully understand how the model works based on the given definition and  the given spiral model illustration is quite confusing. It would be much more helpful if the illustration contains less information and only showing key ideas about the spiral process.

One thing that I would like to be better explained is the Spiral Model in the reading! There was a paragraph explaining it, and there was a figure, but I didn't understand most of it. Other than that, I think the chapter was pretty straightforward. The chapter talked about important terms such as awareness, ownership, pace, and distance. But it was just interesting to read more about agile methods and scrums!

I never knew that in the process of coding there would be many things to consider. Through this reading, I gain a lot of information about awareness, pace, ownership, and many more that are also part of the process. So far, when I made something, I thought the process will just flow like a waterfall. Again, this chapter is very well written, organized, and easy to understand. However, to improve this chapter, I think there should be a more detailed explanation of the photo of Boehm's spiral model. At least there is an explanation about where the process starts and how it works briefly.
