I can't sync my listening progress with other devices and I would like to. gpoddersync is a way to do that, that is also FLOSS.

integration with gpoddersync, like AntennaPod on android. There is currently no iOS app that supports gpoddersync, let alone open source.

Hi @Snuupy,

I would like to add sync support through something like Gpodder, or The Open Podcast API, but I need to implement background fetching of episodes before this would be viable.

Currently, podcasts are fetched when a user opens a podcast within their library, which is fine for small libraries but not for larger libraries. I am currently working implementing automatic fetching of episodes in the background.
