Discussion: submitting an amp-form to an external landing page

As discussed in the WG meeting on 12th March 2020, we would like to discuss the possibility of submitting an amp-form to an external landing page.

Currently all forms submitted via amp4email will return results inside the email. This works well for a number of use cases, however there are also a number of use cases which would be better served by directing the user to an external landing page.

From an external landing page it would be easier to filter results, change display (e.g view hotels on a map), add a product directly to a shopping cart.

Ideally this would keep all features currently available in the amp4email amp-form.

This could prove complicated as the submit event is triggered in an iframe, opening a new tab will likely cause a popup alert.
