The problem with the live list component is that it allows a new way of tracking users. Since the live list components periodically sends a network request to the email-sender-specified endpoint, this feature basically allows the email senders to track how long the user is viewing and staying inside the email without the user performing any actions within the email (such as tapping on a button), which is not something they can track today. I'd imagine that this would be a hard sell to the email service's security and privacy team.
