Action sheets not always displaying on top on iOS

I have a component which declares an action sheet and then passes its ref to a hook which I'm using to store action sheet refs so that they can be called up from any subsequent screen. This works fine on Android - get the ref from the hook, then call ref.current.show(). But on iOS the action sheet renders on top of the component that declared it but below the current screen. When calling show() nothing appears to happen, but doing nav.pop() reveals that the action sheet is on screen underneath the current screen but above its parent screen.

i'm having the same issue , importing the sheet on the page you are calling from fixed it for me on ios but when you check it on android it appears twice
