Filter lists have suddenly disappeared completely (as far as I know)
I wouldn't typically do this through github issues but I surprisingly can find basically nothing resembling help on this extension in general, never mind this particular thing.
The only things that I can think of that could have triggered this are either a Firefox update that happened today, or YouTube making the browser chug so badly that maybe the files got corrupted or something. I had almost 800 channels blocked; I did voluntarily start fresh from a different several hundred channel list when I switched to this blocker from a different one, but to have this happen for no apparent reason to a very large list is rather disheartening. I thought I would at least find the files stored somewhere locally so that I could investigate and try to restore the lists manually, but to my surprise there is no indication whatsoever, anywhere on the internet, of where these lists are stored, or even that anyone has asked before now. I guess it's not the end of the world but it's still rather annoying to have to start from scratch.
Breakages and malfunctions happen from time to time in any software. This is the normal course of things and it is unavoidable. What users should do is to make backups from time to time. Blocktube has Backup (export & import) functionality which save all settings and filter lists, in a file. If you haven't done a backup, you only have yourself to blame.

What is annoying and stupid, is that some users don't create backups.
Wow, somebody's cranky today
Calm down, I only expressed my opinion what I think is annoying, the same way you expressed your opinion what you think is annoying, hence I don't know what is your problem, you can express an opinion, and somebody else not? That's hypocritical. Therefore it's rather you the one who is cranky today. By the way what is "cranky" in saying that not creating backups is stupid? It just is plain stupid, isn't it? At least this is what my opinion is. I didn't attack you personally.
Oh FO you are the one coming in picking a fight for no fucking reason STFU Garry.
Wow, somebody's cranky today. Calm down angry boy, how old are you? Why acting like a child. There is no need to get offended and triggered so easily for no reason. Could you stop coming in picking a fight for no reason and stop your ad-personam attacks and vulgarisms? This is not what a normal discussion looks like, you need argumentation, also learn some manner.
Again FO Gary, what wasn't needed was you BS either "What is annoying and stupid, is that some users don't create backups." You are an F'ing HYPOCRITE. You are a BULLY that tries to play the victim when called out on your bullying. Welcome to block you POS
cliveklg: Again Gary, what wasn't needed was you BS either "What is annoying and stupid, is that some users don't create backups."
Are you evading my question on purpose due to lack of argument or you don't understand what you are being asked for? Again, why I am forbidden to express my own opinion? OP can express his opinion and can say what is annoying for him, while other users can't do the same? Doesn't seem fair, does it? It would be hypocrisy, wouldn't be?
cliveklg: You are an F'ing HYPOCRITE.
See above. Not me. OP and you. I already said that hypocrisy is when OP can express his opinion about what is annoying for him, and others users are forbidden to express their opinions the same way.
cliveklg: You are a BULLY that tries to play the victim when called out on your bullying. Welcome to block you POS
Since when expressing own opinion the same way OP does is bullying? When OP expressed his opinion it wasn't "bullying" anymore? A puzzle for you - two opinions, where is the difference?
Opinion 1: OP (capefeather): it's still rather annoying to have to start from scratch. Opinion 2: garry-ut99: "What is annoying and stupid, is that some users don't create backups."
No personal targeting, just opinions which described situations, not persons, my argument/opinion was a reply to his argument/opinion which I didn't agree with. I didn't call him stupid, I called stupid a situation of not making backups. Not my problem if he is a user who falls into the category of people who don't make backups, and therefore are affected by my opinion. You are looking for problems where are none. Besides, do you want say that not making backups is not stupid? Go on. I'm curious how many people do you convince.
If and when I do post an issue on anything again, I'll make sure to say something like I didn't make a backup or some other stupid thing like that, even if I did. This has been very entertaining.
A tone of your initial comment looks like like you came here crying and moaning that you lost your files, like blaming everyone execept yourself.
capefeather: is rather disheartening capefeather: it's still rather annoying
This is a well-known classic egoistic "no responsibility / no self-criticism" syndrome and venting frustrations and blame-shifting on someone else: https://www.quora.com/Why-do-some-people-like-to-not-take-responsibility-for-there-actions-and-place-blame-elsewhere
Now you are unable to accept that someone rightly pointed out and mentioned about backups, using similar words.
Not to mention that, just like cliveklg, you've not addressed anything what I wrote in my earlier comments, you've just ingored and evaded everything I wrote eariler, means you run out of arguments pretty fast.
capefeather: I'll make sure to say something like I didn't make a backup or some other stupid thing like that
Making backups is an important and intelligent action, not stupid. What is stupid is not making backups, and then crying and moaning because you lost files, and because someone rightly toned you down and mentioned about backups.
capefeather: This has been very entertaining.
What is very entertaining is dealing with people like you two.
