Update broke?
Since the new update, Blocktube seems completely nonfunctional. I can still access the menu and see that my blacklist is still intact, all my settings are unchanged, but it is no longer blocking anything on YouTube, and I can't see its options in the context menu on videos.
Before switching to the new plugin, export your config and uninstall the old plugin. Then import the config in the new plugin.

What new plugin? The addon already updated to 0.4.3.
Which browser and OS versions are you using? Do you have other extensions enabled beside Blocktube?

Opera GX and Windows 7. I have several other extensions, yes.

Google broke a bunch of content blocking plugins including this one by dropping support for an API. Incidentally this helps in their fight against ad-blockers. Firefox is the only non-Chrome based browser so the only one that still supports this plugin until I finish trying to rewrite everything to support the new Manifest V3 API.
I reallly want to thank you for blocktube. I hope you find a solution for firefox because youtube is just unbearable without it.
Also youtube comments on Mobile don't appear anymore with BlockTube, see https://github.com/amitbl/blocktube/issues/248#issuecomment-2388993441, this bug is not present with Youtube Content Blocker.
whats the difference between youtube content blocker and blocktube? they look similar.
The difference is that the new one is not broken and has many bugs fixed.

because a lone maintainer busy for one week would not really mean that a project is abandoned, but rather that the maintainer is just busy with its life?

you just deleted it and replaced your rebranding by a proper fork, which is surprising.
Also I was careful to ask questions instead of attacking, because you seem very impatient to see fixes landed and I have no idea about your relations with amitbl and if you coordinated your actions.
