Clicking on "Block Channel" doesn't do anything anymore.
As the title suggests, I can't block channels anymore even after the latest update ( 0.4.0 ). I'm using Brave and I tried to uninstall all other extensions and blocktube still isn't working properly, it still blocks shorts at least. Also the "Disable YouTube's audio loudness normalization" option doesn't do anything, it just makes youtube detect the adblocker. I tried rolling back to the previous 2 versions and it still didn't work.
Same for me with 0.4.0 in Chrome. Not just channels, videos too are not added to blocked list like with previous version.
Firefox is not yet picking up the new version so don't know if it's any better.
no idea either, the devs just updated the app to .40 still doesnt work :(
Can you press F12 and choose console tab and take a screenshot of that window after you try to click on Block Channel / Block video buttons?

I tried it on Chrome and on Opera and for both it works on the main page, but if you search for something and tried to block videos or channels in the search section, it does nothing.

Specifically, navigating to a video and clicking block adds the video to the blocked channels list in extension settings. I haven't seen any videos by that channel but that could be luck.

I don't know about the home page because I have watch history disabled, so my home page is always empty. I only used the block channel option when I was searching for specific videos on YT.
I also can't block channels anymore since (I assume) last update, it's been working without any faults ever since i installed it like 7 months ago and in hindsight I think i have used it a few times each week ever since then. Sometimes you don't realize what you had until its gone.... :D
Can confirm that context menu blocking stopped working since past several days. I am on extension version v0.4.0, latest version as of right now. Browser: Brave v1.62.162, using Chromium 121.0.6167.164, (32-bit)
I never hit this breakpoint regardless of how many times I clicked Block Channel or Block Video, on any channel or video.
The same error here too, videos can no longer be blocked, both under Brave and Edge.
Please revert to the previous version. Thank you.

Good for you, it still doesn't work for me.
FF 123.0 (Mac) stopped working this morning for whatever reason. Works on Opera 107, though.
FWIW, clearing history and changing VPN hosts a bunch of times led to it working on FF again, at least for now. Guess that changes are propagating through YT's servers.

Under Brave, I installed the Chrome extension v0.4.1 manually (in developer mode, having of course exported the settings from v0.4.0 and imported them into v0.4.1). It looks good, it works. Great work, thanks.

Thanks, working in Chrome as it was updated. Firefox took a long time previously too so might be a bit of wait there.
I also discovered I had a broken video description in the video ID list breaking things for me. Don't understand why I didn't figure that out earlier.
Same issue. Blocking channels with menu does nothing. I try to update blocktube, and it only goes to 4.0. Not 4.1. I cannot get firefox to accept an unsigned add on, and am not going to change browsers because this one add on. Thought it was because I blocked too many channels. So I deleted a bunch, expecting things to fix, and if I see I channel I didn't like, I could just block it again. But nope. My list being too long wasn't what caused the broken drop down menu, and now that it is still broken, I am seeing a bunch of channels I need to go out of my way to block.
Broken again on v4.1. Also please don't break DeArrow again with 4.2.
