Ublock Origin isn't blocking Ads anymore with Blocktube activated

since 1-2 days there are youtube ads when you have blocktube and ublock origin activated. it always worked without any issues till this day.. could you please fix it?

Describe the issue

from time to time i open a youtube video and at the start of the video youtube shows me ads. sometimes ublock origin seem to block the ad after like 2-4 seconds so the ad stops and the video starts playing, but sometimes i need to reload the whole website to skip / block the ad.

Versions

• Browser/version: Firefox 80.0 (64-Bit)
• uBlock Origin version: newest (fresh updated manually few minutes ago to make sure)
• Blocktube version: newest (happend before also)

Are you certain that BlockTube is the one causing this and not something else? I also have this one and uBlock Origin, though I've gone and manually chosen the parts that I want from the settings but nothing out of the ordinary, and I have no issues with this.

It could be something else. Pretty sure this one and uBlock Origin are available through Chrome, but if not you can always do it via. Firefox Developer Edition.

i tried to disable all addons i had except ublock origin & blocktube, and it did still appear. i created a similiar issue on the ublock origin github and got told that blocktube would interfere with the way ublock origin works, and that this would be the issue. but since everything worked without any issues (i didn't updated at that point) and it then suddenly started, i don't know exactly the reason. i know just that i got told on the ublock origin github issues about this that it is blocktube that is the issue.

i don't use chrome though. i have also tried to update the filter lists in ublock origin, don't have custom filters, disable all addons i have except blocktube and ublock origin etc. - and while i tried around i tested to disable blocktube and the issue didn't appeared in this test. so i would say it is blocktube who is doing something that interfers somehow with ublock origins way of blocking.

Yes. Ads suddenly showed up after I installed the addon and the ads disappeared as soon as I removed Blocktube. Firefox 88.0.1 on Windows.

problem is still present and i had to deactivate blocktube because of it.. but now it sucks since i get always content i don't like & would usually block.. ohman

Here is how to reproduce the issue:

1. Install and activate Ublock Origin
2. Install and activate BlockTube
3. Search a channel or a video that has ads enabled
4. Right click the video and choose "Open Link in New Tab".
5. Click and focus on the new tab

Its not fully consistent, but the good majority of the time (~80%) you will receive an ad or a white screen with a "skip ad" button.

This has been tested with all other extensions disabled, on multiple browsers and multiple devices. Disabling BlockTube fixes this; you will not be able to reproduce this issue.

i now updated to 0.3.25 and tried to reproduce the bug, but wasn't able to. but i don't know if it is really fixed or not since i had yesterday also no ads showing before the update today. i will let Blocktube now activated and if i see the bug appear again reporting it here - thanks for the update!
