Recording audio doesn't work
Version: 1.1.0 OS: Fedora 32
Note:
Recording audio works fine for me , but some users have problems with it
Please add comment that it doesn't work for some users, like me, and works for you. :)
Just to feedback that RecApp works perfectly on Anarchy/Mate, including sound. Thanks to the developer for this great program.
Sorry, I need to report that I've discovered today that it isn't recording sound. Have checked settings, and sound is definitely outputting but not being picked up. Endeavour OS, Mate, AMD system, and audio not recorded for mp4 or webm formats. Let me know any other details you need.

hi, wayland?
I really want to continue developing and fix all the bugs found, but unfortunately , I don't have so much free time yet.
Hi and thanks for such a quick response, and sorry, I'd meant to include that it's X11, not wayland, but it went clean out of my head. No worries; understand about not having much free time ... life gets busy, so it'll be great whenever things are fixed. :-)
Hi I'm a new Fedora 33 user and I'm having the same problem of the sound. I'm using Wayland. Otherwise the app's great =) If you could include 20 fps it would be nice =) If you need further details I can provide them (logs, etc.) Have a nice day =) Cheers, Luis
Well it actually does work with Fedora 33 if I change to X11 and if I stay with the speakers output. If I use my headphones when I'm recording audio does not work. Cheers, Luis
Fedora 32, Rec App 1.1.0. Laptop is Librem13. Mkv format, 30 fps.
Excellent Video and audio quality. Unfortunately, It does not record my microphone.

Recording from microphone is not yet supported. Hopefully though, it will be.
For anyone still using this, the main cause of audio recording issues is fixed in my fork. Previously, RecApp wouldn't make sure to use the default audio sink, so programs like EasyEffects that create multiple sinks could mess with the recording.

Hello. I see that the project is still needed by someone. Therefore, I decided to take a vacation from work and release version 2.0 before the end of the year. I don't use gnome now. I've been using Cinnamon for a while now, so version 2 will only support Xorg. I also plan to completely rewrite the codebase so that the project can be easily extended.
Thank you for your interest in the project. If you see fit, you can submit your change via pull request so that I can use it in version 2.0
i use it too. I like the current design a fair amount, but i hope in 2.0 i can just record using the mic i have enabled in my DE audio settings GUI.
