Link Role members, Users, and contacts to alert templates
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Right now when adding recipients to alerts we only have one type of field the actually destination value which is either an email address or a phone number....neither of which have any identifying label to them. Tommorrow i might have no clue who +14808675309 is.
Describe the solution you'd like when adding recipients to an alert template have the abilty to add an object like user or roles and the system look for phone and emails from user attributes (login) or a contacts database (no login)
Describe alternatives you've considered At minimum give us a label field when adding a recipient to a alert template.

Not sure if this had been discussed before, I figured before submitting an enhancement request in github, I thought I'd ask here. I was setting up Twillo SMS and thought "Boy adding in all these phone numbers to my alert templates, it would be nice if I had a label field so later I can Identify what these numbers are". That seems like it could be a simple enough thing to implement. Then my mind went to the complex and thought, it would be really cool if tactical could link alerts templates to user attributes. If I could record the phone number of each user as an attribute and just assign alert templates based on users\roles that would be really cool.

wolfer201 — Today at 10:50 AM Thanks I just didnt want to reinvent the wheel if this is something thats been covered and rejected for some logical reason already
NiceGuyIT - NC — Today at 10:51 AM Do you mean completely different templates based on some field? Or add that field the one template, so you get one alert with the custom field filled in?

Tommorrow i might have no clue who +14808675309 is. That should be improved just for easier readabilty. But if we could also when adding recipients to an alert template have the abilty to add an object like user or roles and the system look for SMS and emails from user attributes that would add a whole new level. NiceGuyIT - NC — Today at 11:01 AM That makes sense! Yes, having "contacts" (no login) or "users" (login) will be better.
