serial timecode capture?

I know there are more immediate deck control issues to resolve, but I've noticed that serial timecode doesn't seem to be recognized by vrecord's timecode scanner, even with deck control enabled and the serial timecode logged properly through that connection (as seen in the RS-422 dialog).

I believe that this is an upstream issue in libavdevice. I reported it at http://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/8835.
