how to change the input image size of 300*300

I want to change the size of the input image of 300 * 300. any size the image will resize to 300 * 300,My test pictures have very large pixels like 10000*10000. resize to 300 * 300 is very unscientific.could i change the 300 * 300? for example, resize to 600 * 600? Will anybody help me?thanks!
