Integrate Isophonics Room Impulse Response Data Set

From Previous ATK tracker

There are several choices possible, but two options appear suitable:

  • mono encoder
  • stereo encoder

For both of these, we'll want to generate new RIRs using the Isophonics RIRs as models. Among other things, we'll want to correct:

  • frequency response
  • directional response
  • early proximity
  • late diffusion

The mono encoder will be the most straight forward to implement. However, due to frequency dependent directivity of the measurement loudspeaker (Genelec 8250A), the late response is expected to be more colored (towards lows) than is desired.

Concurrently implementing a stereo encoder may highlight relevant issues. AND, it may be useful to use a more complex model, e.g. TriField, to capture both early and late encoding. In other words, there is some research to be explored as to the most suitable solution for use with the ATK.

Also, will need to address PartConv integration, and whether PartConv issues have been completely closed!

Would also require an issue at https://github.com/ambisonictoolkit/atk-kernels to implement.

Actually... this is probably better to support via a tutorial page.

Given the context of v5.0.0, integration of RIR encoding is to be handled by including a tutorial page.

@trebacze or @dmartinp could be the author of such a page.

HoaRIR by @dmartinp could be used as an example.

Or this could be refactored into a verbosely documented Quark offering broader support for a variety of B-format RIR libraries.
