[Package Request] - mod-php 8.2
What package is missing from Amazon Linux 2023? Please describe and include package name. Mod-php Is this an update to existing package or new package request?
Is this package available in Amazon Linux 2? If it is available via external sources such as EPEL, please specify. Yes Any additional information you'd like to include. (use-cases, etc) We are trying to move to Amazon. Linux 2023, and we are using mod-php on php 8.2, we can add it is available for php8.3 but not for php8.2. Can we have the package for php8.2 as well
https://github.com/amazonlinux/amazon-linux-2023/issues/699 is where we tracked adding it, and did so starting with PHP 8.3.
Considering PHP 8.2 is EoL at the end of 2025, is a path to PHP 8.3 or newer feasible for you?
Hi Stewart, We are currently migrating from 7.3 to 8.2 and development/testing is already coming to completion. Shifting to 8.3 or newer would add additional overhead on the team and miss the timeline. Would be better if you could provide for 8.2 as well.
