Why no CloudFormation

I noticed that you don't use CloudFormation will you accept a PR to use CloudFormation to create the resources?

I also using the API Gateway and if you accept the PR for CloudFormation i want to do a sample with the API Gateway as well.

When I created the project Cognito didn't support CF yet. But at this time, feel free to submit a PR. I'd start with the current functionality first, without API Gateway, for testing purposes. There's a lot to duplicate here though.
