Updating WhatsApp makes Altus temporarily lose its theme

First of all, I don't know if this comes from Altus or from WhatsApp. I'm just reporting it.

Describe the bug

I'm a Windows 11 user. I use Altus with the Dark Theme (Settings cogwheel > Discussions > Theme > Dark) Every time I click on the "Update WhatsApp" button that appears once a week or so, my theme suddenly becomes Clear. then I go into the settings, and I see that it's set to Dark.

My workaround

To solve this, I have to:

  • Manually set the theme to Clear
  • Set it to Dark again ... and then it becomes Dark again.

That works, until the next WhatsApp update. The bug happens 100% of the time, with every new WhatsApp update.

EDIT - also, if I restart Altus, the visible theme moves back to Clear again. But the settings still show it as Dark.

I have Altus 5.1.0. I haven't updated to 5.3.0 yet, because the changelog says nothing about solving this bug, and translations are irrelevant to me.

Thanks!

Pic 1 : theme is indicated as "Dark" even though it clearly displays as "Clear" 2024 10 09 - 01 58 03

Pic 2 : once I set it to Clear (+ OK), THEN open the settings, THEN set it to Dark again (+ OK), the theme finally becomes Dark... until the next update or startup. 2024 10 09 - 01 58 28
