[Theme Installation] Not able to install Dark Plus Theme
Describe the bug I've been trying to install the Dark Plus Theme, however, every time I click on the download button icon, it just keeps spinning, as if it's downloading, but nothing happens.
I have waited for over 30 minutes and nothing happened.
I believe there's some kind of problem connecting to the download server. (I have even tried changing my connection DNS and connectin to different locations on my VPN, but no luck)
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Go to Themes > Theme Manager
- Click on the download theme icon
Nothing happens, it just keeps spinning forever.
Expected Behavior: To be able to install the Dark Plus Theme and apply it to Altus.
Could you try going to %APPDATA%/Altus
, deleting the themes.json
file and then trying again?

I'm on Mac, I tried deleting from /Users/vinny/Library/Application\ Support/Altus
, but still it didn't work.
Can you check in the console if there is any error while doing that?

Just after clicking on the download button I get this error on the console
Seems to me it's some kind of permissions-related issue
Which file should I change permission?
That I can't seem to figure out because it feels like it needs write permissions to the Altus folder to create that temporary file but it should already have that given that it's already able to create the other files in the folder
I have tried setting Altus folder permission to 777
but no luck.
keep trying to change the settings, you are a senior programmer, if you persist in solving this error, you will be successful, I believe. I count on your good humor to give us feedback on the possible solution to this bizarre problem🧐😅
Unfortunately I don't have a working PC at the moment and it doesn't look like I'll be getting one any time soon so I can't really work on this right now.
I'll try debugging a little more and sort this out, if I come up with something I'll commit a pull request.
By what I've noticed so far it's a macOS related issue.
Its also on Windows
Fixed by running as admin
