Question: Websocket Support

Hi, I was wondering if the sidecar within a Kubernetes environment would support websocket connections from service to service? Everything out there like Linkerd and Envoy do not currently support this. I would imagine being based on Envoy it might not be. Thanks!

Hi @jtaylor32. Amalgam8 does not have WebSocket support. However, WebSocket support is being added to Istio and should hopefully be part of the next release: https://github.com/istio/pilot/pull/1094

The Amalgam8 project has been merged with Istio. All future feature development is being done in Istio, and we recommend that you switch over if you can. Link: https://istio.io/
