Add support for OS X via homebrew

CI testing shows configuration issues for OS X installation via homebrew, under several versions of gcc. Should be easy to resolve.

Since the introduction of autotools in pull request #59 Autotools, the support for other platforms should have improved. Could you give this one a go once more?

I would and I did, but apparantly the OSX platform was no longer available (the test was "hanging" without being executed).
