The "chop indentation" option doesn't seem to work

See the image below, which I directly copy-pasted from IntelliJ into GitHub. I have the "chop indentation" option checked, so I would not expect to have a blank space of four characters on the left side of the image.

Using version 1.2 of the plugin.
