USB data transfer instead of wifi?

Hello, I'm wondering if it would be feasible to send the display data to the board over usb instead of wifi?

If so, would it require significant changes to the code?

Hi, The thing is that to do usb the only option without additional hardware afaik is serial, which is actually much slower than wifi. If you are having issues with the latency of the wifi try using a router that is in the same room as the monitor and the pc, so that there's least signal loss possible. i got pretty good results using my phone's hotspot as router. other than that there is the option of making a new custom board using a FT232H , which would send data to the screen directly from the pc to the screen at usb 2.0 high speed, the creator of the board had been able to do something with it but it wasnt working very well, there was some electrical problems, you can ask him if he was able to do it, it was kind of tricky cause the clock was at like 80 MHz
