ALVR ALVR wont connect to SteamVR (steamvr disconnected)

Currently using the newest nightly version (12.10) and I cant get ALVR to connect to steam vr which even though the newest stable release works perfectly fine. Am i missing something? Or are the newest nightly versions just bugged

i am also having this issue on nightly 12.10 and 12.02 (different build)

the current working nightly version for me is 2025.09.23

looks like it's a bug on the nightly, will have to wait for next push for update i guess.. just be patient

yeah just sucks because i really wanted to use this version due to what it fixed. hopefully it'll be fixed soon

This happened to me, but I'm on Windows, and running the executable from cmd worked, so maybe running the dashboard from the terminal could make a difference.

I haven't tried on newest nightly, though it was persistent on a nightly and latest release after redownloading the launcher.

Edit: I currently launch that way with the nightly from august 8th (21.0.0-dev11) since microphone works for me on that version
