Can’t get apple vision pro to activate anything in SteamVR

Open tpitman opened this issue 4 months ago • 3 comments

I have an Apple Vision Pro 1 with a Windows 11 PC. I have SteamVR installed and am able to connect and get into the SteamVR main environment.

I can see controllers that look like default Quest 2 controllers.

I can see a pointer and point it at games on the wall in my list of games.

What I can’t seem to figure out is how to activate anything. I pinch my fingers and nothing happens.

I have tried several different things in the settings, but there are so many I can’t figure out what I am missing.

The controllers change shape or type, but pinching still doesn’t do anything.

I didn’t make this a bug because I am sure it probably isn’t a bug and is just me not understanding the setup.

Please advise.

From what i figured out you have to start the game first and then you can use your PSVR2 controllers or your hands to control things but there is no way to activate steamvr interface first from within vr.

I never would have thought of that. I will give it a try. Thanks!!!

That didn't work. I got everything started up and then started Beat Saber and I had a pointer, but touching my fingers together did NOT produce a click or selection.

How do I get this to work?
