new 20.7.1 gives undefined symbol: SteamInternal_SteamAPI_Init

Description

Upgraded on linux from 20.6.1 to 20.7.1 and now when steam connects on Oculus quest 2. the app crashes and goes back to main screen on the VR. In std out i see:

/home/guy/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/bin/linux64/vrmonitor: symbol lookup error: /home/guy/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR/bin/linux64/vrmonitor: undefined symbol: SteamInternal_SteamAPI_Init

Not sure how to do bisection testing. What should I do
