Description of the problem

When using the Microsoft IME to input Chinese characters on the altv platform, the WebEngine experiences severe performance issues, often resulting in a complete freeze. This issue affects various UI elements and renders the game nearly unusable until restarted.

Reproduction steps

1. Open the altv platform.
2. Press F8 to open the console.
3. Use the Microsoft IME to input Chinese characters into the console.

Expected behaviour

Inputting Chinese characters should not affect the performance or responsiveness of the WebEngine. UI elements should remain interactive and responsive without delays or freezes.

Additional context

Observed Behavior:

• The WebEngine becomes unresponsive, effectively freezing.
• Various UI elements, such as input fields for character creation, experience significant lag. For example:
  • Inputting Chinese characters into an input element can take several seconds per character.
  • UI elements such as buttons become unclickable, and hover animations fail.
  • The entire UI becomes sluggish with noticeable delays.
• These issues persist until the game is restarted.
