Is there a way to escape the prism face in certain cases
I'd like my docstrings always to be a certain color.
They are usually given font-lock-doc-face but when prism is running, they become prism-level-1-strings.
Is there a way to escape the prism coloring for a specific face?
No, the best you could do would be to set that face to the docstring face.
Thanks for the tip!
It also comes up when I use a debugger - the debugger highlights the face, but the prism-chosen face wins
I tried to get ChatGPT to help but it was beyond useless ha.
Would you be against having a think in case any ideas occur to you on how I could make this usecase work?
Anyway, I'm very happy using prism, it brings me much joy.
I wouldn't recommend using Prism in a debugger window. It isn't intended for that. (But if it works and you prefer it, that's fine.)
AFAIK changing this would require a decent amount of hacking to add this functionality as a new feature. And it would be a bit of a hack, complicating the matcher function and possibly reducing performance. I'm not strictly opposed to the idea, but my criteria for merging it would be very strict, and I wouldn't have time to work on it myself anytime soon.

I'm glad to hear that. I think more people would appreciate it if they gave it a chance with the right color theme. One user at a time. :)
