Engage with Microsoft and Apple on issues with assistive tech

What

Approach contacts within both Microsoft and Apple to discuss issues raised with Dragon and VoiceOver respectively.

Why

We're revisiting 3 issues previously raised in DAC audits that we believe are best solved by the software vendors themselves:

  • https://github.com/alphagov/govuk-frontend/issues/5310

2 of these issues are related to Dragon, developed by Nuance who are owned by Microsoft. 1 is related to VoiceOver, developed by Apple.

This issue is to start talking to our contacts in these companies to understand if there's anything we can do to help facilitate the vendor teams within these companies investigating the above issues.
