Can't Uninstall

Open cansurmeli opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

I am trying to uninstall fuse-ext2 but it seems I am unable to do so.

I clicked the uninstall button of fuse-ext2 under System Preferences which asks for my password. Upon providing it, nothing happens and fuse-ext2 is still there.

Another weird behaviour is that the uninstall button also triggers the update text to be refreshed which leads me to believe that the uninstall button checks for an update in fact.

Any ideas?

p.s. current v0.0.9 on macOS 11.6 (20G165)

I have had the same issue, it may be usefull.

In my case, I did the installation by the script method.

After removing osxfuse I have had installed using homebrew, I began removing the entire /gnu directory under /opt, then the whole fuse-ext2 entries in /usr/local/bin, then three symlinks in sbin which are e2label, mke2fs, mount_fuse-ext2, and finished it removing fuse-ext2.fs directory under Library/Filesystems, after that I did reboot, and it wasn't there anymore.

Give this a try.
