Can you confirm the annotation you used? It should be `config.alpha.linkerd.io/proxy-enable-native-sidecar: true`

It seems you're right about the happy eyeballs behavior, according to my testing. And yeah, relying on the client's IP family shouldn't be factored in unless under very specific scenarios....
Any further information you can provide to help diagnose this, like the policy-controller logs?
You'll need some extra config to get Traefik to play nice with Linkerd. Please check the detailed instructions in the [docs](https://linkerd.io/2.15/tasks/using-ingress/#traefik-2x)
