(iphone) how to rendering aspect ratio of video

Currently, video is is stretched to fit the element it overlays, resulting in distortion. I think we should instead scale to fit, preserving the aspect ratio of the video stream.

Dont know if this is still an issue, but I did some math to center the video. Users are fine for now.
The best way would be to crop the video to fit to the screen as described by @ghost, but I dont know how to do that.

Thoughts?
