+1 this seems far to hard to get wired. I followed the instructions exactly step by step and I have no idea what is going on but I cannot get any datepicker working.

README does not say, but you have to include the default.css and default.date.css (or `default.time.css) as well.

Yes, As @ksgy said I was missing that part. But also, there are some troubles with the css default styles. It seems that the date-picker is absolutely positioned, and some odd behavior makes it to appear always at the bottom of the page. Particularly, if you page uses all the height available, the date-picker will never be visible.
