.ico format support in change browser/profile icon
I'd like the option to change the icon with a .ico file, as all my custom icons are in that format (for windows shortcuts) and I also like to have those files of my browser (profiles) in BT.
Also because (bug?) when I updated to the main 5.2.0 release, my icons as seen in the image don't differentiate anymore, when they previously did. The profiles had their own image and TOR vs Private window in Brave was also differentiated easily. But now, as seen in the image, they all are the same.
Yes I see it, thanks. The logo quality is very low tho, it works enough for me that it is distinguishable, but not a lot. Also I expected the whole icon to change, not only the profile icon. See image for quality (and I don't have permissions to re-open) @aloneguid
+1 on the whole icon thing. Firefox has its own shortcut image to launch private mode directly, and I would love to be able to set that as the entire image in the picker.
I'm thinking of allowing you to select one of 4 options on how icons are rendered, thoughts?

I think it looks great, it would definitely be better. Btw have you checked the low quality thing, or is that probably because of .ico files have maybe less pixels or something, because they are usually shown small? Anyway I think it's very good, enough customization. Maybe some1 else has another idea?
Thanks. Regarding .ico - I think BT takes the first icon from the file (.ico is a container of images with different resolutions, the lowest comes first). I've made a fix to select image resolution close to 256x256 rather than the default, and it looks better. Including this fix in 5.2.2 release.
Ah ok, thanks for explaining how the .ico files work, nice for fix, I'll be awaiting it happily
I have downloaded the new version, but the .ico file is still low quality after re-setting the icon as the icon, see image (and yes I purposely tested it with this url :D)

Yeah thanks it looks great, btw I don't think mine remembers the choice of icon handling and standardly has the profile small? @aloneguid
Let me try it again, ok yes I reset the setting (in the new 5.3.0. version) to profile big and then browser small. But when I open another link it standardly has the browser big and profile small.
