Is there any change of supporting this package for Mac?

xcape also provides an option to use space as space and control. Is it possible to to have something like this?

Sorry, not a mac user. Unless mac support actually is on the roadmap, you'd probably be better off asking on a mac forum. However, maybe this might give you some idea. (:
