Tilt

Open zackdvd opened this issue 5 years ago • 5 comments

Hi, this is not an issue, but maybe we can discuss it here. Blinds can have a specific angle or tilt after running to a specified position. This is done by running in the opposite direction for a short time. Do your plan to integrate such a feature or is it already in? Thank you for your great work, will Test it next days.

This isn't something I had considered. How would you envisage this feature working? Is the tilting of the blind an alternative to moving the blind up and down?

Yes, it’s controlled only by up and down. When you go down to 50%, blinds are closed. If you then press up blinds will open until they are again closed in different direction, then going up. So technically we need a parameter like after going down go up 700ms.

A central aspect of this node is the automated positioning of the blind to control the extent to which direct sunlight enters the room. How would you see tilting being used in this context? Is it an alternative to the blind going up and down for controlling sunlight entering the room?

The great benefit is, that you are able to open the blinds to a certain angle/degree to have some light in the room, but still no direct sunlight. E.g. like here http://www.enersign.com/fileadmin/user_upload/Verschattung/enersign_store_P1490394_225.jpg

I would love to use your plugin, but I also want it not completely dark in the room
