Mac ARM (Apple Silicon)-native build
Now that Apple Silicon (ARM on Mac) systems are beginning to ship, please create an updated native build for these systems on Mac OS 11.
I would love to see this. However is it possible? Emulate x86 with dosbox on arm? I won't say it is impossible, but probably harder than just compile the code.
Maybe the starting point would be QEMU or box86 which people have gotten to run on the Raspberry Pi:

Next, would be getting access to an M1 based Mac, physically or remote.
On the other hand given no source updates in 4 years, I am not too confident.
Edit: opened an equivalent issue on what appears to be the most active fork
@cobaltjacket Given the response here, we can probably close this ticket?
Perhaps, though has this crew been paying attention to the challenges which the DOSBOX/DOSBOX-X people have run into?

Probably best ask on the other ticket, since he seems more responsive on his own fork.
