A gate/trigger for Injected Value?

Having a gate or trigger wire for Injected Value would make it easier to key notes in from the keyboard (where holding shift is doable but weird/uncomfortable, and leaving it on "always" will splat notes across anywhere the mouse moves.) Probably less common is also hooking up MIDI to the injector, so that particular values could be entered via hardware devices (which can't send the shift key.)
