BPM calculation on Specific Value is not accurate

Open CarlosBoix opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Hello there, the BPM calc in the Specifici Value is not accurate. I'm not sure if it's a bug or an error in the formula.

If we agree 1Hz = 60BPM

When I input say 412.67 Hz your module says it = 189.279

If I make my own calc 412.67 Hz x 60 = 24.760.2 / 128 = 193.439

Would it be possible to fix this error please ?

Hi Alikins, hope all is well. Have you had a chance to look into this ? You're probably mega busy, I find your module so helpful in so many things but I am not sure if I can trust the results of it's conversion, I would appreciate if you could look into this as there is nothing else that does these functions in VCV. Any help much appreciated !

hello, having a similar problem. not sure if it is actually vcv formula, as opposed to this module, because having similar problems with other modules. please help? in the specific value module, the LFO HZ/BPM section gives the wrong values. the voltz to Hz works fine. i converted all the frequencies i wanted to bpm using convertworld and checking them in excel and i can't get my values to tally. I even asked ai chat what was going on and why and it doesn't know. for example, for 45Hz, my calculations give a bpm for 168.75, when the frequency original bpm is divided by 16. but specific value is giving us a value of 20.6402, i don't know where this comes from,. but the higher the frequency we go, the worse the discrepancy is. for example, for 630Hz, we calculated 295.313bpm but the module thinks it is 288.963. can you tell us who is right and who is wrong and why, what calculation is being made erroneously, it would be epic if this can work out. thanks for all your hard work and sharing
