Windows 10 - Camera Issues

Open monkeydust opened this issue 3 years ago • 8 comments

Trying to run on Windows 10. Followed instructions and video. Does not seem to recognise camera. Tried changing CAMID from 0-3 with no success. Any ideas?

Does your camera works without this software?

It is possible that your camera is not supported by OpenCV, which avatarify-python relies on. Could be that it uses a pixel format that OpenCV is unable to decode

Try the desktop version. The python version did not recognize most of my virtual cameras (with the exception of manycam), the desktop version has no problem using all of them (and the gui makes it easy to switch between them too).

A similar problem. I run avatarify python and I can't see anything from the camera (black background in the CAM window with captions). The indicator on the camera itself, when it is working, also does not turn on, which means that the camera does not work at all at this time. Any other application launches and transfers the image as expected. Restarting, rebooting, changing the usb socket does not help. Graphics card rtx 3080ti, logitech HD webcam c270. The desktop application does not solve the problem, since it does not start (it is in processes for 20 minutes, after which the program window appears, but there is no access to the camera either)

@mezozoy23 it seems like neither version works with RTX30xx cards currently. Someone managed to get avatarify-python running on Linux by changing the versions of some dependencies, but it looks like those who tried with avatarify-desktop didn't have much success.

@mezozoy23 I have managed to get this running without issues with my 3080. I used OBS VirtualCam and it works without issues.

Please I need help. I just finished all the process in running the avatarify but I don’t understand why my cam window and the avatarify window are not responding.
