Installation into project

Open Fonkler opened this issue 7 years ago • 6 comments

Hi I am new to Unity (using Version 2017.3) and cannot figure out how to install the Unity-Logs-Viewer into my project. I have downloaded it from the Unity Asset Store and imported it into my project. If I read your documentation correctly, there should now be a menu called "Reporter" from which I could select "Create". However, I do not have such a menu.

Could you please explain in a more detailed way how to install the plugin?

Thank you so much, I look forward to using your tool!

Sorry you'll find it's an older project and would need updating for the newer Unity versions, I used it back on Unity 5. There's substantial changes between major versions, so you should look for assets which match your editor version in the Asset Store.

Do I understand correctly that there are no plans to update the project? Sounds like a pity, given all the great reviews on the Asset Store :( Anyway, do you have any recommendations for other free and good runtime log viewers for Unity?

I would love to see it come back (i'm not the developer) as I haven't found anything similar for the 2017 releases. I don't think it's alive - no commits on this repo in 2 years ): Would love to see it re-emerge

Hi. you can use unity 2017 to view logs. check new menu in Editor Console window. Basically. you will see device logs on editor log window.

@aliessmael I'm pretty sure the feature you are talking about is for mobile devices only.

Been using it for 2017.1-2017.4 all works well.
