How to force meshroom to use all photos

Open vintheruler1 opened this issue 1 year ago • 8 comments

Describe the problem So I am having an issue where I need meshroom to use every photo i give it and its not using the ones i need the most for accurate depth maps and I was wondering if theres a way to disable this. (Imported 72, used 11)

Dataset Pictures of human teeth but cannot show due to privacy laws.

Desktop (please complete the following and other pertinent information):

  • OS: win11
  • Meshroom version: 2023-2.0

Additional context Any ways to get more depth? Was thinking of adding 2 cameras.

Random thing too: How would one be able to import an algorithm such as LoFTR into meshroom?

This would be an interesting contribution that we would be happy to support.

Difficult to give advices without seeing images, but the most important thing you can do is to improve the quality of the shooting setup: good lighting (avoid defocus), fast shutter (avoid motion blur), lighting/lens polarization to reduce specularities, etc.

If you have an email that is private, I can send you the pictures we are using. Will be looking into how to implement LoFTR.

We have a [email protected] private mailing list, if that is good for you.

Also, this may be an interesting project for you: https://github.com/PIX3LFLUX/MeshroomDFM

May I ask if you have completed it? I also hope to apply this algorithm to Meshroom.

I have seen an internal (not published) draft implementation. I think it will be made public at some point.

I have not yet replicated it and started working on my own version of the MeshroomDFM as that one did no work. At some point later this year (or when I complete it) I will make it public
