[bug] High CPU usage whenever the Meshroom window is not minimized
Describe the bug Since the closed issue #336 does not find any attention any more and I do not know if #893 is linked to this problem, I opened a new issue for this long-time-known problem
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: I already posted detailed information to reproduce the problem some weeks ago (https://github.com/alicevision/meshroom/issues/336#issuecomment-1032689174).
Expected behavior A GUI which does only consume resources when interacting with the user.
Screenshots Not applicable.
Log Not applicable.
Desktop (please complete the following and other pertinent information):
- OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit
- Python version: whatever the Meshroom releases brought along
- Qt/PySide version: whatever the Meshroom releases brought along
- Meshroom version: every release version since 2018.1.0
Additional context Please see my detailed statements in #336! This is quite annoying, all these years now. There is less use of all these new GUI features when you simply loose a whole CPU core for processing as long as the GUI is shown!

I have the same issue.
Version 2021.1.0 Linux 5.15.0-48-generic Python 3.6.3
Same here. Meshroom 2021.1.0, Linux 6.0.0, Intel graphics (but saw same on Nvidia), Python 3.10.8 (Debian unstable / experimental)
Thanks @esrat for reporting & documenting the work-around of minimizing the window as well.
